|All the recent flesh...|
Well, Ferguson returned a non-indictment.
As expected, the streets are aflame with the disaffected, the disenfranchised. The streets are filled with the agitators, the psychopathic opportunists, and the mental cases.
I've read several different sources on the goings on.
Most of them contained commentary such as:
"Police need to be taught, and regularly reminded, that policing is more than simply herding cattle around."
The fact people are saying things like this is indicative of a much larger issue. That issue is this:
It's too late, people.
Our police are trained on how to cow people. Our police are trained on how to de-escalate situations, and to tactically deal with violence, aggression, and crime. They are taught, from day one, an us versus them mindset.
Our police are taught that, no matter what we say as a people, or as individuals, their word is law, the events in Ferguson just reinforce this attitude in their stubborn fucking heads.
People acting like animals in the streets will not dissuade them in their thinking. It simply gives them the smug satisfaction that everything they do is 'for our own good' thus enabling evermore situations like this to fester.
Our culture is already past puberty, people. It has grown up into what it is now. It has already formed its biases, its mood swings, it proclivities and its habits.
All the talk show mouth in the world cannot undo what has already been done.
We are a culture of violence. We are violence.
